Driver #16 for the Demaras Auto Racing Team felt like a rookie all over again.
“I’ve been to Mosport dozens of times to watch races, and even driven my Subaru on the grand prix circuit on track days…but I’ve never even seen the karting track before today.” said Chris Demaras on a bright Saturday morning. “Turn 1 is way harder than I expected!”.
After 3 practice sessions, where his lap times dropped by half a second per session, Chris Demaras qualified a respectable third. After losing one position in the opening laps (oddly enough, on Turn 1) Demaras made a late braking maneuver at the end of the back straight te reclaim the bottom step of the podium.
