Karting in a snowstorm. Welcome to the Canadian Rookie Karting Championship. After the hail had passed, the skies were looking clear, even though temperatures hovered at 8 degrees C. Daniel Demaras lead the field, setting fastest times in practice sessions 1 & 2.
Daniel put his kart on pole position, earning 1 bonus point in his championship hunt.
Daniel drove a solid race, leading the field from the drop of the green flag. On the penultimate corner, driver #12 and his rival collided coming into the esses, sending both karts into the rain soaked grass. Upon returning to the track, Daniel brought the kart home to a hard fought 2nd place finish, earning 8 points (plus the bonus point for pole position) in his quest for the championship.
