Daniel Demaras got in one last practice day at K1 Speed Toronto before heading off to California to compete in the K1 Speed World Championships.

Special thanks to Stephen Scala from Paragon Competition in Vaughan for the new Alpinestars Tech 1-K karting gloves. The lightweight construction provided plenty of feel, while the added padding and Spiderman-like grip on the palms and fingers reduced the effort needed to hold the wheel.

Saturdays at K1 Speed are busy. The track is crowded with racers of all experience levels, so it’s hard to get more than 2 or 3 clean laps in a session. However, Daniel’s laptime of 23.555 seconds was good enough for his 106th “best time of the day” on his 520th race. That’s plenty of practice.
