Last summer’s family road trip to Pocono Superspeedway resulted in many American souvenirs being brought back across the border. This quarter was just found in Michelle’s piggy bank after all these months!

The US Mint created a unique quarter for each state, produced for 10 weeks, then never be produced again. The 2002 Indiana quarter honoured the Indianapolis 500 race. Featuring the image of a racecar superimposed on an outline of the state with the inscription “Crossroads of America” and 19 stars signifying Indiana as the 19th state admitted into the Union. If it was in perfect, un-circulated condition, the coin would be worth a staggering USD$1.36!
