Those of us around in the 80’s were lucky enough to enjoy the golden age of Canadian television including the original Degrassi Junior High and of greater cultural significance The Littlest Hobo, a TV series about a stray dog who wanders from town to town helping people in need.

This episode, filmed at Goodwood Kartways in 1984, gives racers currently competing at the historic track a glimpse into the past. The Red Karts garage was still there, and Stefanie Di Leo’s office too. But the timing tower looks way different, and there’s a lot of trees inside the circuit.

If you look closely at the cast of extras, you’ll see a 16-year-old Paul Tracy years before he became Canada’s greatest open-wheel driver and 2003 IndyCar Champion.
