Not only has racing season ended when November arrived; summer car season is wrapping up too. Soon it’ll be time to put the car cover on the retro Subaru too. This week I took my 1992 Subaru SVX out for one last high-speed run on Hwy 407. I wanted to burn off the old gas and put in a fresh tank with some fuel stabilizer so that everything will be ready to go next spring.

After adjusting the coil-over stiffness and setting the air pressures, I drove off into a synthetic sunset to the sounds of Vaporwave.

The car has been roaming the streets of Toronto since September 1991 and it looks very retro in its original teal paint, but the newer WRX STi wheels and lowered stance tell you this Subaru isn’t stock any more. I’m going to have to do something special to the car next year, since it’ll be 30 years old. But or now, just one more neon drive to close out 2020.
