This week, the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame added a special video to their YouTube channel; a TSN broadcast of the 1995 Grand Prix of Barrie. This was a huge karting event attracting over 400 racers from across North America…including 15-year old Anthony Simone.

Simone would get a taste of IndyCars before going on to an illustrious career in IMSA Sports Cars and NASCAR. But at this point, he was still just a young driver dreaming of the Indy 500 while competing in the Coca-Cola JR. Heavy Final! Watch for No. 95 as he battles childhood rival Julianna Chiovitti.

Anthony Simone founded New Speed Motorsports in 2020 to help launch the racing career of his son Rocco Simone, while giving drivers rising through the ranks, like Daniel Demaras, the chance for top flight coaching and race support.
