Yeah, driving around Toronto today was pretty bad. Nearly 30 cm of snow. But it’s nothing close to the great blizzard of 1944, or even the pretty bad snowstorm of 1971. Plus, modern technology like Subaru’s all-wheel-drive system can easily defeat the snow.

But you’ve got to feel bad for the folks down there in Texas. With less snow that Toronto received, the whole state was paralyzed. Gas refineries shut down and windmill blades froze in place. Without the plows or machinery to clear the roads, and drivers on summer rubber, it’s a mess.
