The Big Rigs

A proud Canadian moment last night. The Olympic events concluded with the final run of the four-man bobsled. Pilot Justin Kripps and his crew of Ryan Sommer, Cam Stones and Ben Coakwell have won bronze in the four-man bobsleigh event at Beijing 2022.

After three runs, the Canadian sled was only 0.08 seconds ahead of Germany pilot, Haffer. Although Kripps had a strong start thanks to the push-men, his lead melted away and with a few corners to go, only 0.01 seconds up at treacherous Turn 13!. What a nail biter!

Kripps took 3rd place behind Germans pilots Friedrich and Lochner, becoming only the third Canadian to earn an Olympic medal the four-man bobsled competition.
