Way back in December 2018, we posted an article on the 1965 Rupp Dart go-kart. Demaras Racing was racing karts at that time, and it was just something we found interesting. Many other people online must have also found vintage karts interesting, since that post has been viewed almost 1,000 times since published.

Surely, many Dart Karts were built by Rupp, but who knows how many survived after being raced. When one does show up, they seem to command top-dollar, as shown by this in-progress restoration on Bring-a-Trailer. The twin-engine Rupp just sold for a staggering USD $6,869 (or $8,660.78 Canadian dollars).

This Rupp Dart Kart is a non-running project that is said to have been used as a display piece before it was acquired by the seller in 2021. The kart features a tubular steel frame finished in metallic blue with a seat trimmed in black vinyl with white piping, and it retains a pair of McCulloch singles. The engines have not been run under current ownership, and the kart is missing brake and throttle cables as well as fuel lines and air filters.
