On our last day in Denmark, we walked through the town of Odense. Not much of a car scene there, mostly walking districts through historic old buildings. Stapled to a bulletin board across the street from a cathedral was a band poster of two Danish women posing with a 1999 Plymouth Prowler. Their new single ‘Drive‘.

That’s what’s so great about car culture; it is everywhere. This time, it is in the form of an indie band (sisters Frida & Sirid Mol Kristensen) who create darkened dream-pop music.
LYRICS
I drive faster
I drive away
I go faster
I’m driving all the way
Hey!
I cut corners
And drift away
I go faster
You know I’m on my way
Hey!
I’m on my way!
Hey!
I’m on my way!
Drive, drive
Drive, drive
A glance in the mirror
I’m changing lane
One push deeper
You know I’m on my way
Hey!
I’m on my way!
Hey!
I’m on my way!
My gloves are leading
A gaze of steel
My pulse is rising
The smell of gasoline
My hands on the wheel and I’m driving through the night
My hands on the wheel and I’m driving through the night
