Saturday brought more sunny skies and dry weather, perfect for qualifying day! The schedule was packed with junior categories like USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 before the main event of IndyCar qualifying began later in the day.
The whole family was at the track this day, and loved watching the IndyCars more than 1,000 after the last turned laps at Exhibition Place.

This were looking good for family-favourite, Will Power in the No. 12 Team Penske car. The car looked great, gliding over the bumps on the street circuit, until…

A red flag for Alex Palou’s No. 10 car shortened the session, eating up valuable track time while the Ganassi car was towed into the pits. This left all drivers with only one lap to set their fastest time on new slicks.

While Will was on a flyer, Kyle Kirkwood’s No. 14 car spun in final corner, bringing out a yellow, preventing Power from setting a proper time. He starts 16th on Sunday.
