Saturday at the Canadian Touring Trophy race took place under mixed conditions. Bright skies and breezy weather was swept aside by later afternoon rain storms, followed by tropical heat. Demaras qualified P5 and prepared for a rain race.
The weather cleared in time for the F1200 race, the first of three races scheduled for the weekend. Daniel ran as high as 3rd place before settling on 4th. On-track battles slowed the pack down, letting leaders Mitchell and Wang pull away and fight it out between them for the win.
