That first picture (below) is Daniel at this exact same event in 2021, but as a spectator. A teenager with a championship kart racing background, but no experience in racing open-wheel cars. But the second picture, from 2022, shows a young racer fighting for podiums every weekend. How far he has come.

Daniel was thrown a curveball in this last race weekend. His No. 12 MagiSeal VMS Formula 1200 car suffered catastrophic transmission failure, so Demaras would race the No. 19 backup car, courtesy of Vallis Motor Sport. Race 2 o Sunday morning went well, with Daniel picking up another P3 finish.
The F1200s look like scoops of ice cream, the drivers look like cartoon superheroes, in their bright, colourful race suits.

As the drivers prepares for the last race of the year, the No. 12 was unceremoniously loaded onto a flat-bed trailed, hauled back to the Vallis Motor Sport headquarters’ to be torn down, rebuilt, and readie for the 2023 season. Its day is done.

Paul Subject gives words of encouragement to the racers, as everyone makes last minute changes to their cars. Except Bob…who’s taking a nap before the Final.

The Final race produced Daniel finest drive, and best result of the season.
He raced with top-tier drivers like Phil Wang and Peter Hansen from green to checkers. Making passes, using the draft, being strategic earned Daniel a P2 finish and a spot on the podium.
