Walking in snow sucks. Driving in snow can be fun! Especially drifting! Yes, sliding your all-wheel-drive Subaru WRX while executing a pass on a semi-truck as y’all rapidly approach a snowplow can look heroic.

Until you get your timing wrong and the snowplow shears the back half of your car clean off. The Subaru driver in New York state is unhurt, but lucky to be alive after this terrifying incident, caught on dashcam and posted to the Department of Transportation’s social media page.

The WRX driver was stuck behind a truck, and misjudged how far ahead the oncoming snowpow was. He (it’s undoubtedly a man) even threw the Subaru into a drift trying hard to get in front of the truck. Too late.

There really needs to be better driver’s licensing tests to keep folks like this off the road. And it ain’t just the Americans! Look at this madness from Canada as this driver is going so fast on Hwy 407 that he hits multiple snow plows.

Patience, people. Patience.
