If Enzo could see the new cars his factory churns out these days, he’d smile. At the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is Auto Exotica the highlight of the Canadian International Auto Show. Red cars on display included a Ferrari 296 Challenge race car, and the front-engine V12 grand tourer the Ferrari 812 GTS.

Beyond the success of the Scuderia Ferrari race team, the company has so many historically important road cars. Several classics were on display including the 1957 Ferrari 250, the 1987 Ferrari F40 and the all-conquering 2003 Ferrari Enzo.

Not to be elitist or anything, some of the other supercar companies brought their cars too. Lamborghini went back to its roots and brought a 1964 Lamborghini R2 Tractor on race orange paint. The bright red paint on the 1958 Porsche Diesel 108K Tractor made us think we were looking at the latest Italian sportscar. Nope; all German.

A highlight of the display was a Ferrari 288 GTO displayed nose-to-tail with a Ferrari F40. The Ferrari F40 is the direct successor to the Ferrari 288 GTO; both mid-engine, turbo-V8 cars with no comfort features. Pure race cars for the road.

Read more about the Ferrari 288 GTO in this article from ‘The Classic Machines‘. that tells the incredible tale of the 288 GTO including the time one went to Bonneville to attempt a land-speed record.
I certainly did not know that Ferrari made tractors. All of my farm relative tractors were more of the John Deere variety. Learn something every day.
Oh no no.no. Ferrari only makes sports cars.
.
I was insulting the agricultural roots of Lamborghini amd Porsche.
.
I find it kind of funny.
Oops, I did not read closely enough!
Its all good, girl!
.
But isnt it weird to think that a builder like Lamborghini went straight from making tractors to sports cars.
Yes! I love finding things like this out!
