The safety and protection of children is a universally held concept. Little kids running for the school bus just don’t grasp the dangers around them. So when police caught a 22 year-old driver going more than double the speed limit in a school zone, you can bet they through the book at him.

Around 8:15 AM on Monday morning, York Regional Police clocked a Honda Civic on 2nd Concession near Mt. Albert Sideroad in the tiny town of East Gwillimbury (30 mins north of Toronto) while travelling at 102 km/h in a posted 50 km/h school zone with school buses in the area. That’s a stunt driving charge under the MOMS Act triggering an immediate license suspension. The vehicle was also impounded by police, plus a massive ticket (up to $10,000).

Asked why he would endanger the lives on innocent children by travelling at a criminal rate of sped, the punk said he was ‘late for work’.

People, people, people…TAKE IT TO THE TRACK!

Why the hell is anybody driving so fast on a Monday morning, risking the lives of everyone around them. Every Friday night at Toronto Motorsports Park / Cayuga you can drive as fast as you want for $40 and get get a time-slip instead of a ticket!
