The need for speed. We get it. Everyone loves driving fast and there’s plenty of race tracks around where you can go as fast as you have the nerve to. Speeding on public highways isn’t just illegal, it’s super dangerous, especially if you’re on a motorcycle. You really have to question the judgement of anyone who would posts videos of themselves breaking every rule in the Highway Traffic Act. That’s just asking for it.
The cops aren’t dumb! They keep an eye on social media for what they call ‘unsanctioned car rallies‘ so it was no surprise that Peel Regional Police saw 40-year-old Greg Harrington’s video. They launched ‘Project Splitting Eagle’ to snare him.
Splitting lanes, running red lights, and street racing at 250 km/h are the textbook definition of reckless driving. Running from the police while doing a wheelie is just stupid. They’re going to get mad, Greg.
The only good part of this story is that nobody ended up in the hospital or the morgue. But the maniac motorcyclist has had his bike impounded, his license suspended, and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, stunt driving, plus four counts of speeding and one count of racing.

That’s just the charges from Peel Regional Police! Harrington is facing charges on another 36 offences by York Regional Police, who released the video above that will surely make Greg online famous!
Take it to the track, people.
