Could Lewis Hamilton quit F1 before ever turning a lap at Scuderia Ferrari? Former ‘F1 Supremo’ Bernie Ecclestone thinks so. In an interview in SPORT Bible, Eccleston opines that Hamilton is now past his prime, and even in a winning car like the Ferrari, Lewis will find it impossible to win a championship against his younger, better, faster stronger teammate Charles Leclerc.
“I believe he won’t win the championship. I don’t think it will be easy for Lewis. Especially in that [red] team. They will back Charles Leclerc. He’s quick and has grown up there, they won’t dump him for anyone.
He would have to walk away from a lot financially, it is a big deal he has got, though I suspect the bonus clauses written into his contract are there to make him feel good rather than reality,”

Ecclestone is always one to provide a sensational quote. He believes that old man Hamilton should back out of his move to Maranello, his driving ability so obviously diminished, and move on with dignity.
“If Lewis is fading, which I don’t like to see, he should go away and do something else, and do a good job at it!”

Yes Lewis. Go do something else. Launch a fashion brand. Follow the example set by 1997 F1 Champion Jacques Villeneuve and release your debut album. Go launch a fashion brand so other people can look goofy, not just you! Lewis has always been the enemy of Scuderia Ferrari, getting special treatment and taking wins away from our drivers.

Oh racing gods, hear us now. Let’s never see Lewis Hamilton in red.
Obviously, señor Hamilton does not rank high on your list of favorable people.
Hate him. Hamilton always got preferential treatment, like at the European Grand Prix when multiple drivers spun in the rain and got stuck in the gravel. Hamilton was lifted out with a crane and resumed racing while the others DNF-ed.
His wins and championships at Mercedes were a joke; his only competition was compliant teammates told NOT to challenge Hamilton for position.
Maybe Hamilton will decide that it’s time to hang up the racing gloves and retire at the end of the year. This we pray to the racing gods each night.
Good reasons to hate him.
Well well well. Good news!
Pray, Susan. Pray to the racing gods that Lewis Hamilton throws in the towel and becomes a fashionista like he always wanted to be.
