If money was no object, going on a shopping spree at the Gulf Fuels ‘Racing Zone’ at the Motorama show would be a dream come true.

The displays included winged sprint cars for racing on dirt, to dragsters running the quarter mile, to stock cars for the banked oval. No matter which motorsports discipline you’re interested in, Motorama 2025 had the car you were looking for!

The CASC booth had several road racing Miatas on display from Powersports Garage in Ottawa. If the budget for your shopping spree is only $15,000 to $20,000 one of these race cars can held you achieve racing glory in the Miata Canada Cup series this season.

If $250,000 is more your budget, perhaps a big-block, supercharged 1969 Chevy Camaro stretched into a ‘funny-car’ is more your speed. In one of these, you’ll reach 100 MPH in less than a second and pass 200 MPH on a quarter-mile pass.

The great thing about racing is just how accessible it is. For less than $5K you can covert a used family sedan into a ‘bone-stock’ car, like this one painted to look like Ricky Bobby’s race car from the movie ‘Talladega Nights‘.

From off road racers designed to jump over sand dunes, to over-inflated looking Dodge Challengers that will attack the drag strip, there’s a place in the motorsports world for everyone.

Break that piggy bank, cash in the pension, and raid the kids college fund. Go on a race car shopping spree at Motorama 2025, which runs until 5:00 pm today in Toronto.

  1. A lot of cool cars to dream about. When I was a teenager, we went to the Sprint Car races every other Friday. On the other Fridays, we went to the motorcycle flat-track races.
