Top-fuel dragsters are the quickest accelerating vehicles on the planet. NHRA drag racing is the fastest sport in the world, and now it has a new record holder. During last week’s NHRA Northwest Nationals NHRA, racer Brittany Force drove her Top Fuel dragster to an incredible 341.85 miles per hour.

That is the fastest speed ever recorded in the NHRA sanctioning body’s history. For Canadians, Australians or other metrics reading, that’s 550.15 km/h.

Daughter of legendary drag racer John Force, 39-year-old Brittany Force now owns the outright record for the fastest run since the series switched from the traditional quarter-mile to the current 1,000-foot race distance in 2008. Women racers have a strong legacy in the NHRA as racer Erica Enders has also hld the NHRA Pro Modified speed record since 2019.

    1. Brittany and her sister Courtney are both great drag racers. It’s quite amazing how many women compete at the highest levels in NHRA divisions. They’re a very enlightened organization… unlike some.

  1. She is amazing as she sits on top of that rocket her Dad is so proud of her and she went through hell when he crashed the last time and they thought he wouldn’t make it.
