7-Eleven has long been the go-to place for gearheads. Fueling up the ride, grabbing snacks for a road trip, or just as a place to park and chill, 7-Eleven is a part of so many drives. The company has doubled-down on car  by hosting nationwide meets at their locations.

Recently, 7-Eleven coĺaborated with Hot Wheels to produce a limited-edition collectible Toyota Supra dinky car in the iconic orange, green and red livery of the Japanese-owned 7-Eleven company. The die-cast cars have become ultra popular, with scalpers buying up all the little cars, then listing them on FB Marketplace for $40 each.

On August 2nd 2025, 7-Eleven took their love affair with car culture to the next level by hosting a special event at their  Riverside  California location. Something like a Cars & Coffee and a ‘big reveal’ the 7-Eleven company brought out an actual 4th-gen Supra painted to match the Hot Wheels car.

And every aisle was filled with Hot Wheels so everyone who wanted one got one.

The California car community showed their support for the event by rolling in with JDM classics. An unstructured car show with a relaxed vibe was the result. 7-Eleven even gave away a bunch of shirts, hats and little Supras to the assembled crowd. Thats the way to buy customer loyalty.

Instead of chasing gearheads out the parking lot, 7-Eleven has turned their stores into a welcoming space for car enthusiasts. While North American 7-Eleven stores are not as high-end as Japanese stores, which a re a ready-to-eat foodies paradise, the company is making improvements to their selection on this side of the Pacific. And for those car enthusiasts with a live for all things JDM, the Japanese connection to these stores makes them ultra cool.

Famed photographer Larry Chen was on hand to document the event, and dozens of videos from attendees to the 7pm to 11pm car meet have since been posted online.

Hopefully 7-Eleven sends the Supra out on a cross-country tour with car meets at each stop.
