The US Department of Homeland Security posted to social media a phony AI image of an IndyCar with ICE Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency branding on its sidepods, to celebrate a new prison in Indiana. The unauthorized rendering of the IndyCar shows it an an oval track at a prison with the caption ‘Speedway Slammer‘ and a checkered flag..
To make it extra insulting, the government agency used the No. 5 of Mexican racer Patricio O’Ward, on the fake picture. 26-year-old O’Ward is the most popular driver in IndyCar, recently won the 2025 Indy Toronto and serves as an inspiration to many as he races his McLaren to victory.
Attention thirsty government officials are trying to placate supporters with the ‘Speedway Slammer‘ nickname they’ve applied to a state prison 70 miles north of Speedway, Indiana (which is the home town of the Indianapolis 500) and happily announced the facility will soon imprison 1,000 immigration detainees. The NTT IndyCar Series has denounced the social media post.
This isn’t about policies or politics. It’s a shameful smear campaign against all Mexicans by horrible people in positions of power.
In the last election, the Americans had the opportunity to vote for a former prosecutor whose job was to put bad guys behind bars. Still, instead, they elected a mentally challenged pedophile, convicted in 30-plus cases of felony. Why?
Because Kamala is a woman of color, and Trump is a white guy.

I feel so ashamed for the US. Imagine a government agency specifically picking on a 26-year-old Mexican guy. Jesus, Pato O’Ward was even at a baseball game last night in Texas throwing out the ceremonial first pitch in a Yankees game. Imagine how that young man feels being singled out like this?

Imagine how ashamed men like Abraham Lincoln, Eisenhower, Bush and even Reagan would be if they saw what has become of politics today.
The same here. My generation and generations before and after me absorbed the American culture like a sponge. Everything from that country was cool, movies, music, cars, fashion, but now the magic is gone.
I know the other half of the voters are “sane” and they despise what is happening, but it seems the USA was a country just waiting to become a fascist state. Very sad indeed.
I watch a lot of car videos from Japan. They are in love with American cars over there! It’s quite amazing to see how far the influence of US auto manufacturers has reached.

I also believe that in many parts of the world, the US was a beacon of hope for the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
