We met ‘Crazy’ Leo Urlichich at his advanced driving school ‘Race Lab‘. No idea that he was a 2-Time Canadian Rally Champ, just that he was going to teach us to drift in the snow. Being dumb enough to bring our own Bugeye WRX to the event, a run in with a snow bank forced Leo to introduce us to Can-Jam Motorsports for repairs. That was 5 years ago, and we’re proud to call Leo a friend now.
This past weekend, Crazy Leo showed he’s still got it.

Leo doesn’t compete in the Canadian Rally Championship any longer, but occasionally races in an event. A week ago he showed up in Minawaki, Quebec, to prepare for the 2026 Rally Perce-Neige. With the Can-Jam Motorsports crew on hand to keep the car in top shape, Crazy Leo and his co-driver Enzo Mahinc took first place!
After all the challenging stages, and 2 days of competition, Crazy Leo’s 2007 Subaru WRX STI called “Disaster” was declared the 2026 Rally Perce-Neige Winner! Freezing cold temperatures couldn’t temper the excitement of driver, co-driver and team as they celebrated into the night.
Huge congratulations to all the teams, mechanics, volunteers, and spectators who braved the freezing conditions at Rallye Perce-Neige! Their passion and dedication makes the event so special.

FROM CAN-JAM: Firstly – A very emotional WIN on many levels. When we decided to do this rally, it was in honour of a team member Blake Hoo that passed away 10 years ago just before this rally. The objective was just to WIN at all costs. When this actually happened, we knew Blake was smiling down from Heaven and helping Leo just like old times. We all love and miss you forever Blakie!!!
“DISASTER” made her Open Class debut with ‘Crazy’ Leo and Enzo (all the way from France) in the 60th running of the Rallye Perce-Neige coming 1st Place Overall and winning 17 out of 20 stages and with a few spins.
