A 24-year-old Brampton man driving a Ferrari was stopped in Caledon after allegedly travelling 50 km/h over the speed limit, because apparently the posted limit is just a suggestion when your car has a prancing horse on the hood.
But the real masterpiece came after police lit him up. Instead of pulling safely onto the gravel shoulder, the driver reportedly stopped in a live lane of Highway 10 because he was worried the shoulder might scratch the paint.
Priorities, people.

Never mind the possibility of causing a high-speed collision, injuring another driver, or turning someone’s commute into a disaster scene. The clear coat was in danger. And really, what is public safety compared to the terrifying possibility of stone chips? OPP had a slightly different view of the matter. The Ferrari was towed, impounded for 14 days, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days. He was also charged with three offences.
The stop was part of a Caledon OPP weekend enforcement blitz that removed nine alleged stunt drivers from local roads.
So there you have it: drive like an idiot, stop like a prince, leave like a pedestrian.
