Race 5 marks the end of the regular season at Mosport Kartways.While the chances of winning the championship have slipped away from Demaras this year, Chris hoped for a strong finish.
The ‘corporate loop’ is a configuration run several times at Mosport this year, but as Demaras’ skills have improved, so too have his competitor’s skills. Passing has become more difficult, as driver have become aware of passing zones, and have learned how to drive defensively, protecting their positions.
Demaras started and finished the race in 6th position. While trailing 5th place by only a 10th of a second, Demaras could not complete the pass through the esses…lap after lap. Demaras managed to accumulate only 3 points to end off the regular season.
