Although his birthday was in early September, Daniel Demaras finally celebrated his birthday this past Saturday with a party at Grand Prix Kartways. Thirteen racers, four worried parents and one interested sponsor were on hand for the event.

The young racers got the full Grand Prix experience, participating in an open practice, qualifying round, and a standing start race.

As qualifying ended, the drivers lined up in the pits, ready to take their spots on the grid. The tension of a standing start could be felt by everyone in the room.

The races were fast and furious, with positions changing and passes being made lap after lap.

A collision between 3 drivers moved the Tecpro barriers a full meter, giving the front straight an extra chicane.

The podium finishers for the opening race are Colin in 3rd place, Toni in 2nd place, and Zac on the top step of the podium in 1st place.

The podium for the final race. Tom Gribilas in 3rd place, Luca Negrini in 2nd place, and Daniel Demaras in 1st place.
This showed up in my feed just now. I didn’t notice the date until I looked at the photos and saw a bunch of teenagers! Looks like a fun party!
