That’s driver #16’s approach to the final regular season race at the Goodwood CRKC season. Having achieved his goal of finishing on the podium, and improving greatly since last season. Demaras is at peace with himself.
Dematras set competitive times throughout the practice sessions, but as the evening wore on, the temperature dropped, and grip disappeared. Drivers had to adapt their driving style the the changing conditions.
As the sun set early this October evening, qualifying and racing took place under the lights. Demaras started a respectable 5th place.
The end of the race was in dispute. Demaras was caught up in last lap battles, as drivers lost their patience and their tempers. Several last lap collisions saw penalties handed out, with Demaras finishing either 5th, or 6th, depending on the outcome of post race reviews.
