Fresh off his win the previous Sunday, Daniel returned to the CRKC Saturday, and put on a dominating performance. A great day for driver #12.

Daniel topped all three practice sessions and really showed strong pace. He set the fastest time of any group in qualifying, and took pole position by a whopping 1.8 seconds.

In the race Daniel had a poor start, went defensive up the hill, but kept the lead. From that point, Daniel stretched out his lead, and went unchallenged for the remainder of the race. Daniel crossed the finish line a full 8 seconds in front of second place.

Driver #16 sought to duplicate his son’s performance, but the speed wasn’t there. Chris took the advice of fellow racer Scott Stuart, and managed to set the 3rd quickest time in practice, but the success was short-lived.

Despite qualifying near the back of the pack, Chris made forward progress, passing two karts on the opening lap. But frustration got to #16 as he struggled to make a pass on kart 51. Demaras shortcut the track, jumped the kerb, and fishtailed his opponent out of the way (fists waving in anger). Driver #16 earned himself a black flag and a one position penalty.
