When it comes to motorsport, January in Toronto is terrible. Karting season is over and the Auto Show is still weeks away…but January is also when the monster trucks make their annual visit to the Rogers Centre.
Over 40,000 people packed the stadium to watch motorized mayhem and madness.
While monster truck racing is ‘sports entertainment’ on the far side of the motorsports spectrum, there is still some very interesting machinery on hand. Some engines ran eight individual mufflers, while others used 4 into 1 headers producing very different sound characteristics.
The show did not disappoint, as the crowd was treated to sky-high jumps and 3 backflips.
