Fifteen-year-old F1600 rookie Zachary Vanier from Garson, Ontario won race 2 at Mont-Tremblant this weekend in his No. 65 Mygale-Honda of Britain West.

The 2016 Canadian National Junior Briggs & Stratton karting champion collected the victory, finishing just 0.043 seconds ahead of the Spectum of Matthew Taskinen.

And to think, only a year ago, he was just a kid under the VRS tent, tussling with Tyler McCullough, and demonstrating his duct taping skills on the nosecone on Daniel’s #12 kart (with ‘One Direction’ tape, no less!).
