Fifteen committed, hardcore racers showed up at K1 Speed on Tuesday, October 15th, 2019, ready to battle. To try and take home the hardware.

There were hard looks everywhere. These guys were serious!

But once everyone got out on track, and started drifting and spinning and crashing off the barriers, it was impossible to keep a straight face, This was going to be a fun night!

As racers would ‘attempt’ to put in a fast lap, the karts would be nearly out of control. Cheers and applause filled the air as drivers drifted down the track, saving a spin before hitting the wall at turn two…sometimes!

Watching the madness on track was pure entertainment. Passes were nearly impossible. With some of the fastest guys buried at the back of the pack, their only hope was for their rivals to spin out. While nobody really paid much attention to the results, the Drift Night winners deserve to be recognized; Quewin, Daniel and Dale took the Top 3 spots in the Group A Final, while Stacy E. took the win in Group B and Alec P. in Group C.

This was also the night that the 130R Racing Series would crown a champion, and recognize the efforts the Top 3 racers over the past year.

Daniel Demaras took home top honours, with Igor and King Nico sharing the final podium. Despite tough competitions all year long, the racers in 130R developed camaraderie and friendship that extends well beyond the race track.

Olesya, 130R’s own Queen of Karting, didn’t race this time, but got plenty of footage of the event (videos are in post-production now). She vowed to make a run for next year’s championship. Looking at faces of guys like Arnel and Quintinne below, many of these racers will be back next season too.

A special thank you to Arnel ‘GRUV3N’ Tabang for the incredible pictures, and High Definition Installations for the generous prizes.

  1. Howdy! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
