This week was the first event of the Carts & Coffee Series. It’s an interesting concept; A six round winter series that visits K1 Speed, Formula Kartways, 401 Mini Indy and a season finale at Cameron Motorsports Park in Hamilton.
While young Daniel has been to dozens of karting tracks, he’s never seen anything quite as ‘old-school’ as 401 Mini Indy.
Chris had been to this track years ago. Not much has changed since then. More or less the same layout, even some of the same karts.
While the track is smooth, there’s so much grip that the karts hop and chatter across every corner. Very tough on the body!
Not sure if racing at this track will be a new challenge this winter, or just a one and done.
