“This is not a racetrack

This driver, who thinks he’s a pretty good driver, thinks he can drive fast cars and race cars and be the coolest guy on the block, but when you take that kind of attitude and you put it out on the highway, with other people around you? Unbelievable.”

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt.

Only a day after a 19-year-old boy was caught doing 308 km/h on a GTA highway, another 19-year-old boy was caught at twice the legal speed limit.

While Ontario struggles with young drivers risking public safety (and lives) by driving at double or triple the speed limit, US states like Wisconsin and Georgia are allowing 16-year-olds to get their driver’s licenses without a driver’s test.
