The BBC reported on Wednesday that an unlucky driver was arrested twice on the same day, in the same car, for the same offence. The driver had a provisional licence (like Ontario’s G1 license, or the old ‘365’ learner’s permits) which requires a licensed driver to be in the car with the learner. The motorist was arrested in the town of Cornwall for driving without supervision.

The Mercedes he was driving was impounded, but the unlucky motorist later returned later to pick up the car from police. A short while later, police officers arrested the same man in the same car for the same offence.

To top it off, the person on their way to pick up the accused was also stopped in another Mercedes and arrested for driving with a disqualified licence.

Both men are due in court to answer charges.
