Even though the lightning passed, the rain poured down on the F1200s as they prepared for Race 2 in the 2022 Calabogie Summer Classic. Cars were sent on track for a formation lap, then brought immediately back to pit lane. Horrible conditions, extremely limited visibility, and unfortunately for several drivers, crash damage.
Boy, it was pouring. Maybe the officials should have postponed the race.
Many MANY drivers were upset that the race was run in those conditions (three cars spun/crashed in the opening laps).
Driver safety has to be more important that getting all the scheduled races in.
By the way, Daniel seems pretty confident on a flooded track. His driving is flawless.
Rubinho, that skid pad training (with the fireman’s hose) really helped.
