Kevin Magnussen was scheduled to race the MDK Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 with his father Jan at next weekend’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. He has been forced to withdraw from the event to recover from hand surgery.
Will Power was also slated to compete in the SunEnergy1 Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the endurance race, but has withdrawn to care for his wife Liz as she recovers from surgical complications.

The withdrawal of two high-profile drivers isn’t good news for IMSA, but race fans will still tune in to see the debit of the new GTP Prototypes.
