At Demaras Racing, nothing makes us happier than reading stories of families competing together. Whether it’s WRC champ Petter Solberg and his son Oliver Solberg competing in the ROC Nations Cup, or Anthony Simone and his boy Rocco Simone from our old kart racing team, New Speed Motorsports, becoming the first father and son duo to win a sanctioned Canadian National Karting Championship.
This weekend, multiple sources confirmed that Danish racing royalty, Jan Magnussen and his F1 driving son Kevin, have teamed up to compete in the 24 Hours of Daytona. The duo will share the MDK Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R with team owner Mark Kvamme as the trio contest the GT Daytona class.

Daytona will be a one-off IMSA race for Magnussen Jr, before he gears up for another season in Formula 1 with Haas, but his father will contest the entire four-race 2023 Michelin Endurance Cup season with MDK.
The 2023 24 Hours of Daytona will run from Saturday January 28 2023 to Sunday January 29 2023.
