For anyone who wants to follow the wonderful world of Formula Vee / F1200s, take a look at the FB Group. Not only do they post local news, but every once in a while they provide a glimpse into the racing discipline as it exists in other parts of the world. For example, a post from Texas-based Bigger Hammer Racing was recently shared.

Bigger Hammer beat the heat this past weekend at at Eagles Canyon Raceway supporting ten drivers, including three student drivers. With temperatures topping 107° on Friday, Bigger Hammer’s crew worked hard to keep all their drivers hydrated so that all their drivers could compete in every race. We’re very proud of our student drivers as each one continued to improve and hone their skills throughout the weekend.

Bigger Hammer headed back home Sunday night to prepare for a quick turnaround as they head to Road America in Wisconsin on Wednesday to continue the 60th anniversary celebration of Formula Vees with VSCDA at the Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend. Bigger Hammer will again be traveling with two trailers as they are supporting eight drivers, all ready for a new, challenging track. Bigger Hammer’s leader, Bill Griffith, who has missed several races due to illness, is excited to get back into his Vee, The Warrior, again this weekend.

We thank all our drivers for continuing to drive with us and look forward to racing together for the last three races of the year.
