Regular readers of our website know of our disdain for automated speed cameras. They simply do not work like proven traffic calming measures (chicanes, speed humps, traffic circles, etc.). They are just cash-grabs. The city pretends to do something about a problem, while picking the pocket of the taxpayer. Total garbage.
Gosh, there’s something almost poetic about this one! Some great Torontonian stole a speed camera, gutted its internals, then re-installed it on a city streets…as a garbage can!
