The ‘bugeye’ WRX has been in the Demaras Racing stable for almost three years. But other than some dealer installed options (like the BBS wheels and the wing riser) the car is stock. Still has it’s original EJ205 engine and 4EAT transmission. Might be time to cutomize.
There’s a NASCAR inspired ’05 ‘blobeye’ WRX racing in CASC sanctioned events that’s giving us a bit of inspiration on what to do with the ‘bugeye’.

It’s time for a heart transplant; a new EJ255 from Can-Jam is destined for the engine bay of the Subaru. Just looking at some of the rides at the shop last week, customizing the Subaru isn’t a problem. But first; add power!

I didn’t know anyone raced Subarus! What an interesting post!
Yes, they’re popular in rally racing, but some people here in Ontario (Canada) road race them too.

Mostly guys like yours truly who are determined to spend mora than the next guy.

A wild car 😁
That is some serious “hot rodding” right there. I love it.
Subaru is a popular choice in South America for track day activities. Once I saw one giving a hard time to a Porsche 911, that was fun to watch.
