There was so much happening at the CSCS event at Cayuga, one could really say that there was something for everyone. For drivers with a hunger for competition, there was drag racing, drifting and time attack. For folks who were just plain hungry, there was a Jamaican patty eating contest and a fastest Freezie eating contest.

For anyone who just wanted to chill and enjoy the scene, there was the car show in the parking lot.

CSCS puts on a huge show and shine event with awards for the top vehicles in every conceivable category.

Of course, there were a lot of Japanese cars, especially Subaru models, which makes sense since Can-Jam (affiliated with CSCS) is a Subaru specialty shop. There was a mint condition Hawkeye WRX STi, custom painted Honda S2000, and a Ford Focus ST done up like a rally car. All of these machines fit neatly within the ‘spot compact’ category.

There were also some old school and American iron at the show. A pickup with a Grave Digger paintjob that looks right out of the pages of Mini Truckin’ magazine from the 90’s next to a jacked-up Buick Regal on ‘biggs-and-littles‘ Cragar S/S wheels. Sure, these vehicles are a little outside the box for this event, but who cares? They’re cool…and that green/purple truck actually won best of show!

And of course, for those who believe there is no replacement for displacement, we have Mustang Alley with V8s as far as the eye can see. There might even be a Camaro hiding in plain sight, just trying to keep with the American muscle theme.

So many folks put so much effort into displaying their cars, you just had to feel bad when the big storm hit. But as long as the windows were rolled up, it was just a matter of getting out the shammy to detail the car to perfection, again.
