Here’s a couple patriotic images of the long-defunct A1GP Series, billed at the time as the World Cup of Motorsports.
Team Canada drivers included James Hinchcliffe and Robert Wickens who would later team-up again in IndyCar to form ‘The Eh Team‘ an all Canadian lineup at Schmidt Peterson Motorsport.

Yup, for a year or so, James Hinchcliffe and Robbie Wickens were the heroes of Canadian karting youths. The Eh Team visited local kart racing tracks (where they themselves competed as kids) and helped show todays racers that a young Canadian could make it to the Big Time.

Agreed. It’s understandable that youngsters are uncomfortable beeing shot on video. But it’s a parent’s duty to film these moments.
