Around the globe, Canadians have a reputation for being polite, friendly people. But even the most chill amongst us have our limits. Just look what happened when Tim Horton’s screwed up this guys coffee order.
Yes, the Ford Bronco was stolen, and the police identified the driver as a local bad guy who needed to be taken down. But the only thing that makes a Canuck go this crazy is the long wait at the drive-thru, only for staff to get his order wrong.

Who was up high enough to film that from above? Also, wtf. Also, why do I think us police would have made him ded?
Multiple cameras caught the incident, but I’m still waiting for the cop’s dash cam. That should be CRAZY from their perspective.
.
If you look close, you can see the cop in the closer car jump out. Scary stuff! Could killed that fellow.
.
Funny thing is I never thought for a second that the cop’s would shoot. Even reading your comment kinda shocked me. Kill the guy? No…gotta do something much worse to get killed by cops here.
Yeah I even sent that one to Greg because it was so remarkable.
I’m afraid US cops kill a lot more quickly in many cases than we would like. It’s one of the many societal problems here, esp for people of color.
Yup…I was going to comment that if the driver was black (was a Sihk kid) the outcome likely would have been different.
That’s the way it works here as well.
Now that I’ve had some time to think about the ‘Tim Horton’s Take Down’ I think it was really poor judgement from the police.
They had the guy cornered, and had their gun drawn. But they could nopt have opened fire right next to a coffee shop window. And with all those people milling about the parking lot. That would have been crazy…could shoot an innocent bystander.
.
And I bet the bad guy (who was a known car thief) took this into account. H knew they couldn’t shoot him. So he tried to take off. Besides, would the police really shoot a guy over a stolen car.? Seems excessive.
I appreciate your thoughts here. In the US, people are killed for much less egregious “offenses.” I’m glad no one was hurt in that Tim Horton situation. Those Horton folks really need to do a better job at getting people’s coffee orders right ☕
