The 2024 racing season saw Demaras Racing team-up with Can-Jam Motorsports. Like their slogan says, Can-Jam has been Wining Since 1982 and this year the Subaru specialty shop kept Daniel Demaras running; both on the road and track.
The new EJ257 in Demaras’ 2003 Subaru WRX has given it a new lease on life and provided Daniel a quick and dependable ride to the track. The sponsorship from Can-Jam kept Daniel racing in 2024.
Part of the collaboration was the Gearheads Giving Back fundraiser in support of SickKids Hospital. During the CSCS Racing events at Mosport and Toronto Motorsports Park at Cayuga, thousands in donations were collected as the No.12 team raffled off a thrill ride in the Formula 1200 race car. This weekend, raffle winners Troy from SnapFab and Allen from Kay0tic will get behind the wheel of the race-winning open-wheel car.
The once-in-a-lifetime experience will take place on Sunday, October 20th, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. The location will be the road course at Toronto Motorsports Park, which generously donated track time for the rookie racers to test out the equipment. A big thank you to Mr. Uli Bieri for his generosity.
If you’re in the Southern Ontario region, join us for a great track day. Anyone can bring their road car and pay at the gate for track time, or just hang out trackside with us and watch these rookie racers come to grips with 1200 CCs of formula fury.
