Why did RACER.COM use that picture of drivers Chloe Chambers and Nerea Marti? It looks like they’re about to kiss? These juvenile boys did an article about racing but just had to sexualize the women of motorsports instead of just reporting on them. It’s really pathetic; the guys at RACER should just go to Hooters and ogle the women there. Leave this BS out of racing.
Can you imagine RACER using pictures like this reporting on Max and Lewis in F1?
Racing is a male dominated discipline; less than 15% of kart racers (the entry point for motorsports) are female, and when looking at Formula cars or GT racing, it’s only 7%. When the motorsports media judges women on their appearance rather than their racecraft, or uses suggestive pictures of female racers, it does the entire sport a great disservice.
Not like it’s hard to find pictures of Nerea Marti and her open-wheel race car.
