Only halfway through the Twelve Days of Christmas, and the holiday lights and displays are still glowing. This weekend, a cruise through the Toronto suburb of Thornhill, and the annual display on Wild Cherry Lane.

Wild Cherry Lights is an annual show that brings the community together by lighting up faces and spirits of all who visit. There’s even a donation box for local charities.

Two brothers named Martin Lindsay and Andrew Lindsay started the tradition back in 2000 when they used their computer to synchronize their lights displays to music, and later got their neighbours involved.

Today, brother Martin still leads the endeavour, starting set up in October with additional help from family, neighbours, and friends in preparation for lighting up in early December.

The display continues until Sunday, January 6th, 2025 which is the last day of the Christmas season. Check this map to see if it’s within driving distance, because it’s quite a sight.

    1. This one was really cool, Tim. Everything was synchronized to music; I think it was Trans Siberian Orchestra when we arrived. But of course stupid YouTube prevented my video from uploading due to background music, so I had to layer some royalty free song on top.
      .
Either way, me and my friend had a great time.
