The family went out for dinner to a restaurant called Montana’s. It’s a casual place with great steaks and ribs. Perfect for any carnivore’s birthday. Not taking itself very seriously, there’s plenty of kitschy décor.

But seriously… even without a heavy engine, how did they get a 1955 Willys Jeep ‘Woodie’ Wagon up in the rafters?

Was it your birthday? Happy Birthday!
Yup, big birthday bash. I even got to wear the ‘antler hat’ they usually reserve for little kids.
Oh lucky you lol
Yeah ..but unlike some folks, I’m just too shy to upload a picture of myself in a paper Burger King-type crown.
Well I, for one, really wanna see it!
Happy Carnivore Birthday! Probably a lot of strong men and women lifted that Willys Woody up into them there rafters. It looks like Mantan ‘s needs service on their sign’s lights.
I bet that Willys had to go in real early in construction. Walls, rafters, roof, wagon. Way before all the rest of the stuff. But that sign? Yeah, that should be an EZ fix. Don’t even need to move a truck.
If you have a shortage of neon sign makers in Toronto, then it’s probably like High truck and Hell’s water to get the sign fixed.
Yeah, but it’s a big company that owns the restaurant. They should just throw a while bunch of money at the problem to solve it.
The request to fix the sign is probably one of 20k requests waiting for attention since it’s part of a big company.
Former staff members who have gone to big companies email me, telling me how frustrated they are that they have to wait weeks or months for tech support. They often ask me how to solve tech problems. I address issues immediately at the office, and ex-staff are spoiled by it.
One client who is part of a large school district has been forced to move a lot of services I provided in-house. However, he keeps the critical services on our servers because they are reliable (99.9% uptime), and when he needs changes, he knows we’ll make them right away. Otherwise, he would have to wait months for the in-house techs to make the needed changes.
I never thought of it like that. Bug company, big problems.
.
I assumed the sign got busted that night. I mran… who would leave the sign at the front door broken? Nobody. The manager would get that fixed ASAP. Unless there ain’t nobody skilled to do the work. Or head office doesn’t OK it as critical.
Repairs and serviced provided in-house can easily become overwhelmed, I guess.
happy birthday, chris! is this the half century mark for you?
Yes…finally ‘middle aged’ at 50.
