The wait is almost over! This weekend is the 2025 MOTORAMA Custom Car Show & Motorsports Expo at The International Centre in Toronto’s west end. The show opens tomorrow!
The Motorama Grand Hall just inside the main entrance is one of the four main exhibits. Visitors will be impressed by the big-money, Canadian-built hot rods and show cars as they compete for the coveted ‘Best in Show’ award.

The Motorsports Expo used to be a separate car show, but with the help of Gulf Race Fuels, show goers can now check out everything from drag racers to open wheel race cars . Vintage stock cars are a big draw at the show, too. Plenty of idea about what to race in 2025.

For Spring Fever section is reserved for youngsters and their imports, JDM and compact cars. Featuring fast and furious looking tuner cars from Honda, Toyota, Mazda and Subaru combined with loud electronic music makes Hall 2 a favouite for anyone under 40.

Taking it back to the old school is Motorama Mayhen in the backroom of the show. This small space is filled with vintage hot-rods, rusty rat-rods, a tattoo parlour and even barbershop fully stocked with Brylcream giving stylish cuts… if it were 1958.

And finally the Miss Motorama pinup girl pageant on Saturday night is one of the last vestiges of sexist old car shows where bikini girls would drape themselves across the hoods of flashy rides. Not so much a beauty contest (and no bikinis allowed) but an era appropriate display of vintage hairdos, makeup and fashion by women who love rockabilly culture.

The Miss Motorama Pinup Pageant looks like fun.
I just love rockabilly style and culture, and the pinup girls in the Miss Motorama pageant aren’t your average bikini girls!
.
I remember last year there was a pinup boy with one of the girls. I guess her boyfriend or something. He was dressed in a white tuxedo jacket and maybe a blue shirt matching his pinup girlfriend in her blue polka dot dress,. They looked great.
.
Gosh, things have moved so far from the wet T-shirt contests and bikini girl pageants that were around when I was a teenager.
More civilized these days, I suppose. Here’s a metal song with some women dressed like the pinup girls in your post: https://youtu.be/3nb7DD7vdQ0 https://youtu.be/3nb7DD7vdQ0
