Katherine Legge is the latest woman to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series, but her recent race at Phoenix Raceway wasn’t a one-off. And the British racer is unfazed by her early race spin. In fact she’s doubling-down, and has committed to run seven more NASCAR races this year with her super-duper sponsor: E.L.F. Cosmetics.
The 44-year-old British racer has competed at the Indianapolis 500 four times, is a winning sportscar driver in IMSA, and is now attempting a career in NASCAR at an age when many drivers are hanging up their helmets. Instead, Katherine Legge will be at Rockingham this weekend for a NASCAR Xfinity Series race. Her next top tier NASCAR Cup Series race will be on June 15th in the first ever NASCAR Cup Series race in Mexico at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez Formula 1 circuit.
There’s even some rumors of Katherine Legge ‘doing the double’ in 2026. That challenge is racing in the Indianapolis 500 in an IndyCar, then getting on a plane from Indiana to North Carolina to race in NASCAR’s Coca Cola 600 on the same day. First, she’ll need more seat time in a stock car.
